What size ratchet do i need to remove the fill and drain plug in my diff?
Want to change the diff oil this weekend. Is that square hole a standard one size thing? Also, will i need other tools to access the fill plug. It's in an awkward spot. Please include details as i am not mechanically inclined. : )
make sure you can find the fill and the drain holes, then measure.... usually 1/2 inch, a breaker bar is needed, a ratchet is usually too short to provide leverage, fill it with synthetic gear lube and you will be good for 50 thousand miles.
