TRANSFORMERS CYBERVERSE OMEGA SUPREME

Presenting Omega Supreme from the Transformers Energon series. A friend noticed him standing at the back from a previous entry and asked who he was, so here he is. That’s his motto above which is easy to say when you’re so big. This baby stands nearly a foot and a half tall (16 inches) and weighs in at 4.5 lbs making him easily. Like the G1 Omega Supreme, the Transformers Cyberverse Energon Omega Supreme has the signature visored head – although this one has two horns instead of one. If a pilot flies his jet plane faster than Mach 1, can he still hear the noise of his own jet engine? I speculate "yes", but not sure why. But to some people, if the pilot can hear his own jet engine, then he is not flying faster than sound. I like to know. Thank you for replying.

Sound travels faster through more dense mediums. Therefore, he will hear the sound as it travels through the body of the aircraft and into the air of the cockpit. The sound IN the cockpit travels at the speed of sound relative to the cockpit -- even though the aircraft (and the air in the cockpit) is moving faster than the speed of sound (relative to the outside air), sound will still travel IN THE COCKPIT.
What the pilot will NOT hear, is the sound the expanding gases make at the output of the engine -- because that sound is traveling through the outside air. So what he does hear, through the body of the aircraft, is the mechanical sound the engine makes as it vibrates against the body of the aircraft.
