No Need To Pullover For An Unmarked Police Car
Believe it or not if you are speeding and you see a car put a siren on the top of it and approach you, then by all means you can carry on speeding or perhaps even speed up if you really wanted to. The law is that you do not have to stop for an unmarked police car under any circumstances. So what are the real reasons for this?
The reason why this was put into place was actually quite simple. There are a lot of disgusting people out there that actually commit their crimes by pretending to be an unmarked police car. This sadly allows people to lure the people into an area that is quite remote so they can do whatever they want without anybody knowing about it. The police realised that all of this was going on so they brought forward this law in the 80s to try and stop this kind of thing from happening.
A lot of people do not realise that you do not have to stop which is why pull over and wait for the potential criminal to approach. You have to remember that people can get a blue flashing light from anywhere so it is not always the police department that you see in these so called unmarked vehicles. If it really is the police then do not worry as you are not allowed to be charged and they should not be pulling you over.
If you think something is going on then the best piece of advice I can give you is to just pick up a phone and dial the police to see if there are any unmarked cars in your area. If you do not own a mobile or do not have it with you then the best thing to do is to go to the nearest populated area and wait it out.
