TONY MARTÍ
Barcelona 22.02.1969
Artist with an outstanding academic base, attended five years of studies of fine arts in the Llotja of Barcelona and three years of graphic design and alternative arts in the Joso academy of the same city. His anxious and creative spirit inevitably takes to him to experiment with the sculpture, and that mixture of disciplines gives as result a basically plastic work, that introduces the volumes and the forms in the world of the painting, obtaining really surprising and innovating results.
His work at the moment is basically visual, leaning for it in a harmonious and rational conception of the forms and the colors. Considering that the imperfect is beautiful and locating it in sober and perfect surroundings, he obtains that his works transmit peace and harmony of natural form. In his works he uses basically natural materials, that treated and combined to each other give rise to impossible textures that catch our senses of irremediable form.
Tony Martí has sporadically exposed in diverse rooms of art and the premises of design in Barcelona, Gerona, Ibiza and Andorra. He is a young artist and at the moment most of his works are in private collections.
